Tim Hortons’ Smile Cookie Campaign Supports the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba
Tim Hortons is bringing more smiles to Winnipeg with the launch of the annual Smile Cookie fundraiser. For one week starting today, Tim Hortons restaurant owners in Winnipeg will generously donate all proceeds from sales of a special smiling chocolate chunk cookie to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. The $1 treat will help purchase infant lung and breathing testing equipment for the Foundation.

We welcome everyone to come in this week to buy a delicious freshly-baked Smile Cookie in support of a great cause.”
We are very grateful to Tim Hortons’ staff and management for allowing us to be apart of Smile Cookie Week, says Lawrence Prout, President & CEO, Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. “Since our relationship started 10 years ago, they have raised more than $350,000 to help kids in need. This year, thanks to their support, we are hoping to purchase infant lung and breathing testing equipment for the Children’s Hospital and create scholarships for students at the Manitoba Institute of Child Health”.
What began as a way to help raise funds for the Hamilton Children’s Hospital in Ontario in 1996, has grown into a major fundraising event across North America. In 2011 alone, the Smile Cookie campaign raised $4 million across Canada and the United States. Nationally, Tim Hortons restaurant owners support more than 345 local charities through the campaign.
